Sabine Pilot joined Santhera in 2015 as Head Clinical Operations, in charge of building and leading a team responsible for managing the set-up and execution of the portfolio of clinical trial programs. In addition, she took the Head Development position ad interim in January 2021 and was confirmed in the role in April 2022. In this capacity, she is overseeing the non-clinical and clinical product development functions and activities within the Company. Since January 2024, she is Head of Clinical Development Operations.

Sabine joined Santhera with 20 years of operational and executive experience in small & big pharma, CRO, working across various therapeutic areas and structuring & leading teams. Prior to Santhera, she was Director, Global Resource Planning & Management at Actelion where she set up and lead various key global clinical support functions. Previously, Sabine worked at Covance in charge of sourcing clinical staff and providing consultancy services at a small biotech. She started her career at Sanofi where she became Head of the Swiss Clinical Research Unit, after holding Clinical Operations Management and field CRA roles. She was responsible for organizing & leading the team to ensure local implementation & conduct of global studies, setting up a regionalized monitoring structure including integration of the teams after the merge with Aventis.

Sabine holds a Master degree in health engineering from University Pharmacy of Montpellier, France and obtained the Swiss Pharm Med Swapp diploma.
